Rental Rules & Requirements

• No fishing, wakeboarding, water skiing, or smoking is permitted on any rental vessel.
• The designated driver must be 21 years of age or older.
• All passengers 12 years of age and under are required to wear a life jacket at all times. Life jackets are provided for all passengers.
• Rental boats are prohibited in the following areas: Spokane River, St. Joe River, Coeur d’Alene River, Kidd Island Bay, and Cougar Bay.
• Mass quantities of alcohol, open flames, grills, or cooking equipment of any kind are strictly prohibited.

Security Deposit

A $250 security deposit per vessel is required on the day of the rental and must be placed on a major credit card in the renter’s name.

Fuel Policy

All boats depart with a full tank of fuel. Upon return, vessels will be refueled and the renter is responsible for the cost of fuel consumed during the rental period.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations or changes made 72 hours or more prior to departure: No fee
• Cancellations or changes made less than 72 hours prior: $100 fee
• Cancellations or changes made less than 48 hours prior: $200 fee
• Cancellations or changes made less than 24 hours prior or same-day: 100% of rental fee charged

Reservations will be held for 30 minutes past the scheduled departure time unless otherwise notified. After 30 minutes, the reservation will be considered a No Show, and the full reservation fee will be forfeited.

Holiday Cancellation Policy (July 1–6, 2026)

Reservations scheduled between July 1, 2026 and July 6, 2026 are subject to a 14-day cancellation policy.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the reservation will be charged 100% of the rental fee, and no changes may be made.

All cancellations or changes must be confirmed directly with a Resort Boat Rentals team member via phone or email. Voicemails are not considered confirmed cancellations until verified by our team.

Weather Policy

Resort Boat Rentals reserves the right to cancel reservations due to unsafe weather conditions. These may include, but are not limited to:

• Lightning
• Heavy rain lasting more than 45 minutes
• High wind advisories
• Tornado warnings
• Any conditions deemed unsafe for boating

Weather decisions are based on actual conditions on Lake Coeur d’Alene at the time of rental, not forecasts.

If Resort Boat Rentals cancels due to weather:

• The customer will not be charged
• A weather credit or rain check will be issued

Customers choosing to cancel outside of these conditions remain subject to the standard cancellation policy.

Mechanical / Technical Issues

Resort Boat Rentals reserves the right to cancel or modify reservations due to mechanical issues or vessel breakdowns.
If a reservation is canceled due to mechanical failure:

• The customer will not be charged
• Alternative options will be offered when available
